My name is Shalonda Davis and like everyone else I am constantly tapping on my pockets The recession seems to be taking a toll on everyone from young to old with high hopes of a turn around real soon. How soon?? We're not to sure, only time will tell.
A lot of people seem to think they have the best quick tips on how to survive this depressing time, but do they really help? I have searched the web high and low searching for the ones that may help and the ones that should have just been kept to themselves. If you have not read or heard about this tragic happening then please read the article now. Ervin Lupoe, of Los Angeles, claimed he and his wife both had been fired and that she suggested they kill themselves and their children, too. You never know how people will react to certain situations. A job loss will never mean your life is over. There is always a plan B, another way to handle things, and we only hope it never goes this far again.

There are some good things happening during the reccession that gives us a little hope. Celebrities are helping families in need during this tough time. Recently Newark natives Queen Latifah and Wyclef Jean along side Hot 97's "Voice of New York" Angie Martinez rolled into to Newark on a bus tour to help families in the Newark, NJ area who are facing home foreclousure. "I wasn't born with money. So, I know what it is to go through a tough financial time, or to go broke," says Latifah. There is some hope during this recession, all you have to do is ask for the help.
